Information we process

We process the information needed to operate and protect the website and BioBot:

• Technical request and log data, such as IP address, browser information, timestamps, and errors.
• Account information, including Firebase user ID, email address, display name, organization, and verification state.
• Service content, including conversations, dataset files and metadata, jobs, generated results, and credit usage.
• Billing information, including Stripe customer, purchase, and subscription references and payment status. BioBot does not store card details.
• Messages and contact details supplied when requesting support.

Why we process it

We use this information to provide accounts and analyses, authenticate users, process payments, answer support requests, prevent misuse, diagnose failures, and meet accounting or other legal obligations. Processing is based on providing the requested service, our legitimate interest in operating it safely, and legal obligations where they apply.

Service providers

BioBot uses Google Cloud and Firebase for hosting, authentication, storage, databases, and computing; Stripe for Checkout, subscriptions, invoices, and payment processing; and configured AI providers such as OpenAI, Google Vertex AI, or Anthropic for conversational responses. Chat content and limited dataset context needed for a request may be sent to the configured AI provider. Uploaded datasets are processed by BioBot's analysis infrastructure.

The public website also loads resources from Google Fonts and unpkg and embeds videos from YouTube. These providers may receive technical browser data when their resources are loaded. External links take you to services governed by their own privacy policies.

Providers may process information outside the European Economic Area under their applicable contractual and legal transfer safeguards.

Uploaded research data

Users must not upload personal data. This includes identifiable or pseudonymised patient or donor data, and genetic or health information relating to an identifiable person. BioBot may be used with non-personal research data and genuinely anonymised data. Users are responsible for ensuring they may lawfully upload and process their data.

Retention and deletion

Account and service data is kept while needed to provide BioBot and for a reasonable period afterward. Billing records and security logs may be kept longer where required for accounting, dispute handling, security, or legal obligations. You can request account or data deletion by email. Some records may need to be retained where the law requires it.

Your rights

Depending on the circumstances, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or object to processing. You may also complain to a competent data protection authority. Contact georg@foxybio.com to make a request or ask a privacy question.

Changes

We may update this policy when BioBot, its providers, or legal requirements change.
